perfect size and brightness but May 11, 2017 by Eric Wright of Organic Technologies
I had a hard time finding a quality flashlight in a compact size that was safe for hazardous environments and took standard batteries and then I finally found the Genisis FL2210. It fit the bill perfectly it also has 4 modes.
My complaint with this light is there were no instructions on how to switch between modes but after I stumbled across it online its pretty easy.
My other complaint is the battery life, even though it takes a standard AA battery it doesn’t last long but if your company is like mine we have plenty of AA batteries.
If I could make a recommendation it would be this, try making a compact flashlight with 3 AAA batteries bundled in a triangle or circle it might be a little fatter but the length would be shorter, the battery life would increase and you could add some lumans. I have a similar flashlight but its not Hazardous rated but I like it.

FAQs
What areas can I enter with an intrinsically safe instrument?
Hazardous areas must be defined by the employer into designated zones and instruments must be certified for those zones. The type of hazardous atmosphere (gas, dust, mining) must be specified and the auto ignition temperature of that zone must be identified with instruments selected that are rated safe for thier temperature.
What does Intrinsically Safe Mean?
An intrinsically safe instrument has been designed from the ground up to use low voltage and current together with detailed electronic and mechanical design to elimate any possibility of generating an ignotino source in a hazardous (explosive) area. The instrument must be approved by a notified body to international standards such as ATEX and IECEx. The IEC standard that TC7000 compiles with is IEC EN 60079 -11.
